I am a wife and mother, who has long thought about owning a Rescue and caring for horses and other small animals. Since I was a child I have loved animals. I started working with horses when I was 15 and worked as a riding instructor at an overnight camp. Since my first experience with horses, they have fascinated me and all I have wanted to do was be able to help them in any way that I could. I had continued over the years to learn and work with horses as well as many other animals. I have completed one year of Veterinarian Technician schooling. During this time I found and adopted my first horse. Sweetheart has been one of the most important decisions I had made in my life and I knew from the first moment I met her, that this was what I was meant to do.
Working at the Montgomery County SPCA I was able to work my way up from Kennel Technician to Veterinarian Technician over the many years I was there, also where we adopted our pets. I have also worked at Vet offices as a technician, up until 2022 when my husband came to me with this wonderful opportunity. As a family, we decided that we would move to a small wonderful town in Virginia and start our dream of having our rescue.
